CFA Level I Review Course – 12 & 13 November 2016

The CFA Society Melbourne offers two day intensive overview course for the December Level 1 exams This course will be held over the weekend 12 and 13 November 2016 . Each day is structured around four sessions, taught by a combination of CFA Charterholders & industry practitioners.

The review program provides:

• Classroom style ‘workshop’ approach
• Worked exam questions designed to help candidates prepare for the exam and master key concepts
• The opportunity for candidates to have their questions answered directly by experienced practitioners

Each year, CFA Society Melbourne offers candidates a Practice Exam to assist with their final preparation. The exam has been prepared by the Boston Security Analysts Society, which has a long history of developing challenging and relevant practice exams for CFA candidates.

The Practice Exam will be held under exam conditions and will:

    • be based on the 2016 Learning Outcome Statements
      • provide an excellent opportunity to evaluate your progress
      • help you with your exam-taking technique
      • provide you with additional questions to build your knowledge
      • highlight areas of weakness to focus your studies

    A full worked solution will be provided of all questions at the end of the exam.

    The Practice Exam will be held on Saturday 19 November 2016.

    Practice Exam Session times: Morning session from 9am to 12pm and afternoon session from 1pm to 4pm.

    Registration opens at 8:15am.

    We are offering three options to purchase/register for the practice exam, as follows:

    • Sit the exam at location of practice exam.
    • Pick up from campus on day (from 8am-9am and 12pm-1pm only)
    • If you do not wish to sit the exam in person, you can purchase the exam and answer booklets for “distribution by mail”. Your exam and answer booklet will be mailed by Express Post to you on Monday 21 November 2016.

    Scholarship Information

    Scholarships for the CFA Program are available on a limited basis through some universities and CFA Institute local Member Societies. Information about these scholarships can be obtained from the CFA Institute website. CFAM offers a limited number of scholarships for the June and December exams across all levels. Our scholarship program exists to assist local candidates who wish to sit the CFA exam. Therefore, applications from international candidates with no direct link to our society will not be considered. For further information click here.
